New unit
In 7th grade math today we began a new unit, "Moving Straight Ahead." In this unit students will learn all about linear functions, solving equations and graphing equations. Pre-algebra really comes to life in this unit and students typically enjoy solving equations because they seem like puzzles.
In other news, calculators have resurfaced in the classroom as the students are now experts at all operations with integers and therefore allowed to use the negative button on their calculators! Everyone was thrilled to tear down my "No calculators" signs when they entered class today.
